House, mid-C17, extended in C18, C19 and C20. Timber framed, plastered and
partly bricked, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. 3 bays with chimney stack
in middle bay, aligned N-S, originally with lobby-entrance to W, now blocked.
C18 single-storey rear wing from N bay. Large C19 extension to SW of 2 parallel
ranges built of flint and brick, and lean-to extension with slated roof between.
C20 single-storey extension to N. 2 storeys. The W and N elevations of the
original house are of painted brick in English bond. C20 door, 2 C19 double-
hung sash windows of 8 lights. First floor, 2 C20 casement windows. The
interior has face-halved and bladed scarfs in both wallplates, and chamfered
beams with lamb's tongue stops above all 4 rooms. RCHM 18.
