GV II

Two shops with living accommodation. Mid C19 features. Timber framed and rough
rendered. Grey slate roof not visible from road. Parapet. A tall building
of 2 storeys, angled to follow road line and with extensions at rear. 3
vertically hung sliding sash windows with glazed margins in moulded surrounds
to first floor. Similar window to ground floor left. 2 similar shop doors
and windows to centre and right comprising: recessed panelled doors with 4
lights and fanlight over, that to right original and with reveal panels. Plain
shop windows to right of doors with central glazing bars. Fascias with moulded
canopies over. Pilasters to doors and windows with plain bases and moulded
shafts with carved capitals. An unusual pair of buildings with good detail
in a prominent corner position.
