House and shop. C17 or earlier with later additions and alterations. Timber
framed and plastered. Red plain tiled roof. Central catslide dormer. Off
centre red brick chimney stack. Gables to left and right, the right gable
outshot to right. Bargeboards and scroll brackets to gables. Moulded wood
parapet. 2 storeys and attics. 1:1:1 window range including central 2 storey
bay, of vertically sliding sashes some C18 small paned, in moulded surrounds.
Part glazed door with glazing bars, moulded surround, frieze, flat canopy on
moulded scroll brackets. The left return of several ranges, that to right with
3 window range small paned vertically sliding sashes, ground floor with double
bay shop windows with cross transoms and recessed glazed door. Left lower
ranges with roof line dropped to right, 2 vertically boarded doors and 2 small
paned casements to first floor. 3 window range to ground floor with glazed
double shop doors to right. Central band. Small outshot to left. RCHM 25.
