Manor house, late C17, altered in C18 and C19. Timber framed, plastered, roofed
with handmade red clay tiles. 5 bays aligned approx. E-W, aspect N, with one
axial chimney stack one bay from the E end. C19 extension to S of W end,
forming an L-plan, with one chimney stack at the junction and one axial stack.
Single-storey lean-to extension at S end. 2 storeys. The C18 entrance
elevation faces N, the C19 entrance elevation faces W. N elevation, near-
central 8-panel door with fluted doorcase and bracketed hood, C18. 4 early
C18 double-hung sash windows of 16 lights, and one early C19. On first floor, 5
similar early C18 sash windows and one similar C19 sash window. Roof hipped.
The S elevation has one similar early C18 sash window. Much crown glass in
windows of both periods. The W elevation has a C19 gabled porch with fretted
bargeboards. The interior has C18 pine panelling in the E ground floor room,
and a recessed half-cylindrical cupboard to S of the adjacent stack. On the
first floor, to W of the same stack there is a late C19 cast iron grate with
contemporary surround of glazed ornamental tiles, a good relic of its period.
