A C16-C17 timber-framed and plastered house altered in the C19 and C20. The south front was refronted in the C19 in yellow brick and has two large C20 semi-circular two storeyed bays added. The north front is jettied on the upper storey on a moulded bressumer. The ground storey has exposed timber-framing with brick nogging and there are two original window openings with moulded mullions (blocked). Two storeys. The windows generally on the south front are double-hung sashes with glazing bars in the upper sashes Between the bays there is a C19 doorcase with a cornice on console brackets. The north front has three window range, double-hung sashes with glazing bars and square, stucco moulded hood moulds. The outer windows are three-light. At the west end a wing extends to the north with one window range. (three-light). Roof tiled, with five gabled dormers on the south front. (RCHM 2).
