House. Mid C16; two bays to left heightened in late C17. Weatherboard over timber frame; half-hipped thatch roof; brick ridge stack. Three-unit plan, probably open to roof, remodelled in late C17 as three-unit lobby-entry plan. One storey and attic; three-window range. C19 plank door and C20 windows; dormer has C19 two-light leaded casement with original fittings.
Interior: late C17 ogee-stopped chamfered beams of inserted floors to centre and left; chimneystack to right probably replaced former C16 smoke bay; service room to right, unaltered in late C17, is open to common rafter roof. First floor has exposed tie beam/wall plate assembly of former C16 roof, removed and heightened in late C17; late C17 clasped purlin roof with original common rafters. C17 floorboards; dormer window has mortices for former C17 diamond-mullioned window.
