Pigeon-cote. Probably early C19. Coursed squared sandstone with plinth and
ashlar dressings; roof not visible. Circular 3-stage tower, slightly tapered;
chamfered coping to first stage and top stone shelves to upper stages. First
stage has 4 two-centred-arched chamfered openings on east side, all to floor
level except the most southerly which has low stone sill; some horizontal
iron bars. Second stage has small square pigeon hole on south, and blocked
rectangular window on west under flat stone lintel; third stage has 3 empty
windows, with rebated chamfers facing east; 4 pigeon holes on south above
shelf. Embattled parapet.
Interior of ground floor shows late C19 jack-arched concrete vaulting with
iron girders; interior of upper floors not inspected.
