II
House. Formerly known as Millbank House. Circa 1840. Coursed squared
sandstone with plinth, herringbone-tooled margined quoins, and ashlar
dressings. Welsh slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Central 6-panel door,
with sidelights and patterned overlight, in corniced plain stone surround
with shaped pediment; sashes with fine glazing bars in flanking canted bays
and in 3 first-floor windows, all with plain stone surrounds. Eaves gutter
blocks below hipped roof with one banded chimney on left and 2 on right
return. Interior shows 6-panel doors in architraves; one ground-floor
principal room has a moulded cornice and the other a vine and honeysuckle
frieze. Right garage extension not of interest.
