10/177 Hoppyland Lodge
II
Former lodge to Hoppyland Hall, now private house. Probably mid C19. Coursed
sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings; Welsh slate roof. L-plan. Cottage
style. One-storey, 4-bay range parallel to road has semicircular right end
facing carriage drive. Main elevation has flat stone lintels over boarded
door at right, narrow window to left of door with lattice glazing bars in
elliptical-headed frame, and 2 plain narrow windows at left. 2 lattice-
glazed windows in apsidal right return. Steeply-pitched roof, curved over
right apse, has tall corniced central ridge chimney. Rear wing has renewed
door at left, 3-light window at right with lattice glazing; 3 roof lights
inserted.
