Limekilns, now coal storage hoppers. Probably mid C19 for Chilton Lime Works.
2 builds. Limestone rubble with coursed squared sandstone plinth and brick
dressings; brick patching. First build at left has stone plinth to 3
semicircular arches, each with 3 header courses of yellow bricks; rubble walls
with varied brick patching, some of very big yellow bricks. Left return
rubble with full-height sloping buttress. Second build at right has rubble
walls with 3 segmental brick arches on rubble jambs. Each arch has brick
vault and rear wall, with 2 eyes, some blocked and with coal-chutes inserted.
