Road bridge over the River Balder. Probably C15, rebuilt c.1681, upstream side
widened 1896, downstream parapet and upstream face partly rebuilt in 1983.
Sandstone ashlar with snecked and rock-faced rebuilt sections.

Roadway on 4 medieval ribs; 2 similar ribs added to upstream side in 1896.
Downstream face: depressed-pointed arch of 2 chamfered orders; band, with
chamfered soffit, raked to either side above arch; similarly raked, flat-coped
parapet. Upstream face has similar arch. Horizontal parapet, with raking end
sections, defined by band and flat coping; central corbelled refuge.

This bridge straddles the parishes of Cotherstone and Hunderthwaite.
