Wrongly shown on OS map as Ship Ahoy. House. C18, altered in C19. Red brick
in Flemish bond, main roof of handmade red clay tiles, rear outshut roofed with
red clay pantiles. Single-span range facing S, with 2 axial stacks, and
full-length rear outshut. C19 external stack at left end, with small plastered
lean-to extension, roofed with red clay 'Roman' tiles. Garage at right end.
One storey with attics. 5 C20 casements, and 5 more in gabled dormers. 2 C20
doors. Gambrel roof, half-hipped at both ends. Brick drip moulds above doors
and ground-floor windows. Dentilled course below eaves at front and at ends.
Formerly 'The Ship Ahoy' public house; shown as Old Hall in Chapman and Andre's
map of 1777.
