Barn, gin-gang and byre, now storage. Mid-late C18 barn and gin-gang. Mid
C19 byre. Coursed rubble with pantiled roofs; barn roof has stone-flagged
eaves facing farmyard. L-plan: barn on left rear of farmhouse (q.v.) with
byre at right-angles enclosing farmyard; gin-gang on rear of barn. Tall,
single-storey barn of 2 builds. 2-bay section, adjoining farmhouse, has
opposed Dutch doors. Added 4-bay end section has scattered openings, 2 rows
of breathers and C20 vehicle opening on rear. Steeply-pitched roof with
swept eaves. Lower single-storey, 5-bay byre has off-centre Dutch door and
replaced casements in segmental-headed openings with brick surrounds. Roof
hipped at right. Octagonal-plan gin-gang has circular piers, later rubble
infill walls and a pyramidal roof. Barn retains some original adzed roof
trusses with thin tie beams and swept principals, halved and crossed at ridge.
C20 brick lean-to addition on front of barn is not of interest. Derelict
at time of survey. Included for group value.
