Social Club, formerly a house. Late C16, refaced externally in C19.
Roughcast walls with some "mock" timber framing. Tiled roof, half hipped at
right end, with crested ridge. 2 brick stacks with oversailing caps, set in
from ends. 2 storeys. Projecting gabled wing in centre, with stone
dressings. Battened door, - the wood lintel over inscribed "Ivy House 1580".
On first floor, one casement with lead lights. Section left of this has one
casement with lead lights on each floor. Section right of the wing has 2
casements with lead lights on ground floor and 3 on first floor. Various C20
additions at rear. Internally, a number of original features survive,
including large open fireplaces with timber lintels and chamfered ceiling
beams. Interior not inspected, but according to RCHM the original staircase
survives, and some ornamental plasterwork on first floor. Included for group
