Probably C16 origin. Timber framed walls, partly replaced with brick. Tiled roofs
with stone eaves courses. Brick stack. L-shaped plan. Through-passage at west
end. Two storeys and attics. Elevation facing King Street has a cross gable
containing the upper storey windows. Ground floor has a wide ledged door leading
to the through-passage, and one modern casement window with lead lights, and
shutters. First floor has one original oak mullioned window with lead lights.
Attic has one small original mullioned window. Carved heads to the main oak corner
posts. East elevation has exposed timber framing, partly replaced with brick, and
modern timber casement windows. Signs of earlier built-up openings. Interior has
deep chamfered beams in first floor. Good example of early town house.
