Kitchen wing to former Langton House (demolished 1949), now private dwelling.
c 1827 by C R Cockrell. Finely jointed ashlar with slate roofs and ashlar
stacks, ashlar plat band. T-plan. Symmetrical south-west front facing former
courtyard. 3-bay, central bay pedimented. Various sashes with glazing bars.
Main entrance now through panelled door at side of building. Somewhat altered
but forms an important group with The Old Stables (qv) and the Old Brewhouse (qv)
also by C R Cockrell. (RCHM, Dorset, vol.IV, p.44, no.3.)
