9/18 The Bull Inn

G.V. II

Inn. Early C17, altered and extended C18 and C20. Part timber framed with
thin timbers and painted brick infill, part painted brick. Old tile roof
with gable, half hip and 2 different ridge heights. T-plan with 5 framed
bays on front, and single storey C20 lean-to extension on re-entrant
angle at rear. 2 storeys with ridge stack. Entrance front:- right hand
part has brick dentil eaves, 3 bays of 2 and 3-light C19 casements on
ground and first floors with late C19 gabled entrance porch to right of
window on left. Left-hand part is slightly lower with similar dentilled
eaves; one 2-light C19 casement on first floor, 3-light similar on ground
floor and small 2-light fixed window to left of this. Interior:-
Principal joists exposed on ground floor with chamfers and stopped ends.
