2 adjoining cottages, now one. Mid and late C15, extended C17 altered
late C18. Timber framed encased in painted old tile gabled roof. U-plan
of 4 framed bays, with two C17 framed bay extension at rear of No.29 and
one framed bay extension at rear of No.27; catslide roof between the two.
2 storeys and one storey. One small chimney in front roof slope to No.29,
one large raked chimney at rear of extension to No.27. Road front:-
Projecting plinth, plat band at first floor level. Irregular and 3-light
C19 casements with segmental heads on ground floor. 3 windows blocked on
first floor. 2 C20 entrance doors, that on left partly glazed. Interior:-
most of the timber frame visible on first floor. With jowled posts, arched
braces, windbraces, and queen post roof. Old window opening with shutter
grooves in former north east gable of No.27. Similar openings on south
east sides of both Nos. 27 and 29, now covered by C17 extensions.
