Large cowhouse. Late C19. Timber frame, brick perimeter walls with boarded horizontal
sliding shutters above, to low eaves level. Clay interlocking tile roof, hipped in 3 ranges
with central octagonal clerestory and pyramidal metal roof; weathervane on top. Square
plan with central raised area over cattle area, enclosed with iron palisade between frame
posts; aisled on 3 sides. Pair of ledged and braced, planked entrance doors on north and
south. This building is unique in Berkshire.
