9/30 Haw Farmhouse

Farmhouse, now 2 houses. Early C18 extended late C18 and C20. Vitreous
brick on west part, red brick on east; old tile roof with hips and half
hip. 2 storeys and attic. 2 chimneys on right hand ridge, one tall chimney
on left hand ridge, and one on C20 extension on left. Brick plinth, sash
windows with glazing bars and rubbed brick arches to right hand part,
segmental arches on left. South front:- On the right the oldest part,
plinth, string and moulded wooden eaves. 2 bays. Dormer in centre with
flat lead roof and 2-light casement. On the left of this 2 bays, the
outer tripartite sashes. East front:- 4 bays, the 2 on the left blocked.
Tall stair window in second bay row right. Plain C19 brick porch with
arched entry between right hand bay and stair window. Interior:- A
fine early C18 dog-leg stair of 4 flights with turned balusters and
square newels with moulded tops.
