Boundary wall of marine barracks. c1857. Tall battered
retaining and boundary wall of Plymouth limestone rubble with
widely-spaced buttresses.
HISTORY: the former Bunkers Hill was excavated in 1857 to make
room for the 1860s extension of the barracks. The wall closes
the barracks to the N.
