Elegant classical villa of 1863 on an escarpment above Bitton. Two storeys,
coursed pennant rubble with ashlar quoins (channelled) and dressings.
Hipped slate roof, octagonal chimney stacks in valley. Band over ground
floor, heavy modillion eaves cornice. West front has 5 windows, plate
glass sashes in architraves, with pulvinated friezes and cornices to ground
floor, central 1st floor window tripartite centre light segment-headed.
Central porch opening, arched in channelled rustication, vaulted inner
porch ceiling, double doors, plain arched fanlight. One bay lower extension
to left. Return to south has 1-2-1 bays, outer ones break forward with
angled ground floor bay windows and tripartite 1st floor windows (centre
light segment-headed).
Stable wings to north-west not of special interest.
