Late C17/early C18. Rubble with quoins. Modern pantile roof with coped
verges, square ashlar stacks with moulded caps. Two storeys plus attics
in 2 dormer gables with coping and saddlestones. Five windows, 2-light
casements with stone mullions, extra single light range of windows to left
(lights cupboard to left of fire-place on ground floor). Weathered string
over window heads, drip moulds to attics, flush relieving arches, ground
floor windows lengthened by lowering cills. Central door opening, arched
head with carved key stone in square moulded frame, mouldings stopped to
base, studded door with strap hinges. Rear: 2 parallel gabled ranges
(partly stone tiled) and a slightly set back gabled projection (stair-turret)
in angle, chimneys to gables, left hand one with moulding; variety of
C18 glazing bar sashes and 2-light mullion windows with drips. Two bay
2 storey mid C19 wing projects to left of front, incorporates an earlier
bay and extends as late C17 gabled wing to rear. Interior: large wide chamfered
fire-place with wooden lintel.
