House, which forms part of a terrace, of C18 date.

MATERIALS: The house is constructed of painted brick laid in Flemish bond with a steeply pitched plain tile roof.

PLAN: It is double depth in plan, of two storeys with attic and two bays.

FAƇADE: At ground floor the door to the left is recessed and set at an angle, the window to the right is a wooden casement. Above this runs a narrow tiled canopy which continues across the property to the left (not included in this listing). At first floor there are two C18 6/6 sash windows which have plaster cills and lintels with projecting keyblocks. There is a moulded plaster cornice at eaves level. The two hipped attic dormers have C19 casements. The brick ridge stack to the right is truncated.

INTERIOR: The interior was not inspected (2006).

Summary of importance: Bank House is a good example of a C18 terraced house and has group value with the surrounding listed C18 buildings in Barford. The former shop and accommodation to the left (Nos. 10 and 12) are not included on the list.
