(The listing ignores No 23, except for counting the downstairs windows). So: Three cottages. C17, altered early C19 and C20. Two rectangle plan. Originally timber framed, underbuilt in brick and rendered, thatched roofs with a red brick chimney stack each. No 23 is the size of Nos 25 an 27 combined. Single storey plus attics, irregular 9 bay front. From the right, a three light glazing bar casement, a single glazing bar light, door of No 27, 2 light glazing bar casement, one plain light, door of No 25, a single glazing bar light. No 23 has a pair of 3 light glazing bar casements and 2 single glazing bar lights, either side of a central planked door with a C20 tiled wooden porch. 27 and 25 have planked doors covered by C20 thatched porches. In the roof are two 5 light glazing bar casement thatched eyebrow dormers. (Photo Oct 2007).
