Two houses, now an inn and associated buildings. The Inn. Mid C18th.
Ashlar, rubble to sides; hipped double Roman tiled roof behind parapet, cornice.
West elevation. Raised on semi-circular retaining wall. 2 storeys. 3 bays.
Glazing bar sash windows in plain surrounds, outer 2 blocked; square panels
between windows. Central panelled door under flat stone hood on brackets.
North elevation. Part rubble, part ashlar. 2 storeys and basement. 3 glazing
bar sash windows, paired to left; plat band. Dentilled cornice and parapet.
Interior: moulded cornice and beams. No. 54. Mid C18th cottage. Ashlar;
modern tiled roof. 1 storey and attic in large modern dormer. Panelled door
to left.
