Lodge, now flats. Late C18th, altered mid C19th. Ashlar; slate roofs behind
parapets, moulded projecting cornice. 3 storey centre with 2 storey flanking
wings. 3 windows, tripartite sashes; blocked to left; outer lights blocked to
right; elsewhere now large panes. Plat band to wings. Central panelled
door; modern porch. Extensions to rear and to right, formerly stables, coach
house and outbuildings. Said to have been designed as a hunting lodge or
more probably a lodge for Field End.
