Watermill now used as calves house and pigs house. Probably mid C19 although a coin
dated 1739 was found buried in the masonry. Stone rubble with brick dressings to
openings. Slate roof with gable end on left and hipped end on right.
2 storey. Front elevation with shaft of wheel projecting although undershot wheel
has now gone. The ground rises to the left affording access to the loft. Rear
elevation facing farmyard with brick dressings to openings.
Building in state of dereliction in 1970s. Since then the first floor and several
roof trusses have been replaced. 3 pairs of millstones are in situ although the
remaining machinery has been partly damaged and is not in working order.
