Eastern part of large mansion on south bank of Ouse q.v. 21/137. Dated 1886,
formerly one house with West Grange. Similar materials. Two storeys and
attics. Front elevation has large central projecting gabled bay with small
slit in apex, one window at attic level and two at each of first and ground
floors; all with ashlar dressings, 3-light with heavy wooden mullions and
transoms and hexagonal leaded panes. Datestone 1886 HHC recessed under attic
window. To left hand is large tall attic dormer with stone coped gable, and
2-light window; the first floor window is 2-light and the ground floor 3-
light. To right hand is similar dormer, two first floor 2-light windows, one
ground floor 2-light window and modern porch. The main roof has stone coped
gables, there are triple shafted brick hexagonal stacks at gable ends and
centrally. To rear is a large gabled wing with similar window treatment.
