Farmhouse. Circa 1600. Plain but substantial timber frame, some exposed but
mostly rough cast. Some parts of ground floor replaced by brick. Old clay
tile roof. L-plan, with later pair of gables projecting to NW and lower brick
and pantiled additions to SE. 2 Storeys. NE wing, which may be earliest, has
large brick ridge stack serving stone back-to-back fireplace. 3-bay SW wing
has substantial external stack of coursed rubble. Variety of windows, mainly
C20, although SW wing retains one 2-light horizontal sash and one sash to each
floor.
