House, formerly pair of school mistresses' cottages, built on school estate.
C19 (post 1805). Colour washed, coursed limestone rubble (unusual for this
part of the county) with some brick. C20 tile roof. 3-room plan overall, one
storey and attics. 2 3-light casements to ground floor, 2 gabled dormers with
2-light casements, mostly C20. 2 doors, LH one now blocked, in line with red
brick ridge stack serving back-to-back hearth. (Bedfordshire County Record
Office, CRT Thurleigh).
