Estate cottages. Plaque shows 1849 and Duke of Bedford's crest. Red brick.
Half-hipped clay tile roofs. Cottages form a row, with gable end to road,
with a gable projecting from centre of both front and rear elevations. One
storey and attics. Front (N) elevation: central gable is flanked by smaller
gables breaking through eaves. 1:1:1 2-light casement windows to each floor,
mostly cast iron lattice windows. Additional single lights to Nos. 53 and 55.
No.54 has brick porch to R of projecting gable within angle. 3-centred arch.
Plank door. No. 55 has C20 door to road gable end, with tiled gabled hood on
decorative curved brackets. Brick cogging to eaves cornices. Timber finials
to most gable hips. 3 red brick multiple ridge stacks.
