Barn. Circa early C18. Weatherboarded timber frame on brick
plinth. Corrugated iron sheet roof with gabled ends. 3-bay barn,
the centre bay with cart entrance at front and projecting into
lean-to at back. SE front has large cart entrance at centre
without doors and small doorways to left and right with plank
doors. At rear the centre bay projects with a catslide roof and
with brick infilling to exposed timber frame and doorway to left.
Interior: Jowled posts, tie-beams with curved braces, the high
collar has clasped purlins, the lower purlins are tenoned to the
principals with short struts to the tie-beam below; common rafter
couples without ridgepiece. Wall posts; mid rail, studs and
tension braces complete, except at ends and below mid-rail at
front.
