House. C18, reworked and extended mid C19. Original block of red brick on
coursed ironstone plinth, later works in mottled yellow brick. Slate roofs.
Double-pile plan with 2-span roof, N block originally 2 storeys with attic
added C19. S block a 2-storeyed C19 addition. N elevation : much altered, 4
window range. All sashes with glazing bars, one of ground floor ones
bipartite. 4 box dormers. C18 brick band at first floor level is imitated by
C19 band above first floor windows. C20 part-glazed door. One brick ridge
stack. Integral stacks to both gable ends. S elevation : plain, with
casement windows with glazing bars. Canted bay window with lead canopy hood
to RH. Part-glazed door in moulded surround with slightly projecting
cornice. Included for group value.
