House. Late C16, reworked C18, C19 and C20. Coursed ironstone rubble, red
brick, gault brick and colourwashed roughcast render over timber frame. Clay
tile roofs. O-plan, main block and N gable 2 storeys and attics, S gable 2
storeys. W elevation : rendered. 1:2:1 3-light 'leaded windows, with single
light to N gable attic. C19 central gabled porch. E elevation : red brick,
mostly flared. Similar leaded casements, 2 to ground floor, 3 to first floor,
with red brick surrounds and gauged brick heads. C19 trellis porch with
hipped slate roof. 2 substantial external chimney stacks, both of coursed
ironstone up to eaves level, upper parts rebuilt in gault brick with paired
diagonal shafts. Roof hipped to S end. S elevation : similar external stack
with ironstone base, rear block with C18 chequered brickwork. C19 single-
storeyed outbuilding to N. Interior : much altered, although N cross-wing
retains c.1700 panelling to first fioor.
