Bridge over the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation. Circa 1797. Engineer John
Rennie, work supervised by Richard Coates. Red brick in English bond. Large
granite coping stones. Single round head arched bridge. Band following through
square end pillars. One of the 5 original bridges, it crosses the Navigation to
the east of Ricketts Lock q.v. 3/28.
