Probably C13 incorporating at the south end Saxon remains of the north-west
transepts to the Abbey. 2 storeys, originally comprising a cellarer's
range below and an Abbey Guest Hall with C15 roof above. East face divided
into 8 bays by wall shafts of late C14 cloister. Medieval features include
staircase at South-East angle, C13 one-light window, six C15 windows, part
of open timber roof. Acquired by the School 1851; many subsequent alterations.
