attached barn
II

Farmhouse and barn. Late C17 and mid C19. Rubble limestone with gritstone
dressings. Stone slate and welsh slate roofs and stone coped gables with-moulded
kneelers. Stone gable end ridge stacks. L-plan. Two storeys. West elevation
has flush angle quoins. ground floor has a 3-light and a 2-light recessed and
chamfered mullion window, both C19. Moulded first floor string course with a step.
Two windows above the recessed and chamfered surrounds, raised in the C19. East
elevation has a C20 window to ground floor, a C17 3-light recessed and chamfered
mullion window with moulded hood mould to first floor and in the gable two C17
chamfered oval windows set in rectangular surrounds with moulded hood moulds.
The gable shows clear evidence of having been raised in the C19. North elevation
has two C17 single light windows to first floor. Barn attached to south with its
main elevation three doors and a window and three window openings above.
