13.9.1967 Stabling and attached cottage

Stables and cottage. Mid-C18. Rubble limestone with sandstone dressings. Plain
tile roof with brick gable end stacks and three brick ridge stacks. Two storeys
with flush quoins. East elevation of eight irregular bays, the central two
bays beneath a gable with a dressed stone central feature of two carriage
arches with three pilasters above rising to a cornice and four minor pilasters,
framing windows with keystones. The carriage arches are blocked and have a 2-light
square section flush mullion window and two other windows with stone surrounds.
The original door hinges remain. Two windows above with wooden casements.
To the right of the central feature a broad full-height carriage arch, a doorway
with stone lintel and square opening above and a 2-light square section flush
mullion window with a window above with stone surround. To the left, a doorway with
stone surround, two windows with stone lintels, two doorways with stone surrounds
and a window with stone lintel. Three windows above with projecting stone sills.
