Terrace of four cottages, now two. Early C19, restored c1980. Red brick with slate
roofs, stepped eaves bands and brick gable stacks plus large central ridge stack.
Two storeys, each cottage 2 bays. South elevation of each cottage has 2 central
plank doors flanked by 2-light casement windows, with 2 similar windows above.
All openings below cambered brick heads. Part of a group of industrial workers
housing; built by the Butterley Company, facing on to the Cromford Canal. Source:
