Large detached house with wing, now in 3 occupations. Mid C19. Principal block
brick, hipped slate roof; wing to right, back, thin-bedded rubble, asbestos
cement slate roof. Front is 2 storeys, 5 windows; ground floor has C20 conser-
vatory to left, with 6 arched openings, flat roof, linking with flat roof to
heavy 'Tuscan' portico, and three 15-pane sashes; first floor has five 9-pane
sashes; return, right, has 9 over 15-pane, all these replacement sashes. Left
return is plain, with glazed lean-to conservatory. Eaves cornice, large eaves
stack, left, rubble raised in brick, and ridge stack between bays 2 and 3.
Four-paned solar collector, front. Return wing is 2 storeys, 4 windows, all
12-pane sash, bay 3 with small low-pitched gable over and below this a pair of
French doors. Some internal shutters to ground and first floor. Ridge stack at
junction with main block, and a further one at rear, which has central projec-
ting gabled projection. Interior of main block has many fielded panelled doors,
mid C19 stair, large 16-pane stair light. Rear wing partly inspected, interior
much modified to form flat accommodation.
