House and shop. Late c19. Rendered, slate roof; brick stack to right, and
gable slate hung. Two storeys, 2 windows; ground floor left has good C19
5-panel door to plain overlight in deep reveal with panelling, pair of
characteristic Victorian consoles contain moulded string which carries over full
width of front above a 3-light plate glass display window with returned light,
left, to recessed pair of glazed doors on one step. String stopped to further
console at right end. First floor has a plate glass sash to opening with
basket-arch top and a canted oriel on 3 shaped brackets to flat lead roof and
with plate glass sashes; a decorative string course runs full width near the
window heads, and the single sash has a floating cornice. Deep box eaves. A
well retained Victorian frontage in scale with earlier buildings in the street.
