Garden walls of Bowden House (qv). Circa early Cl9, probably 1823, the date
of the remodelling of the house.
Slate rubble with slate-on-edge capping The walls enclose a large rectangu-
lar garden to the front (east and north) of the house and a kitchen garden
to the south west of the house, set back and terraced into the hillside.
Between the two enclosures there is a wall. On the south side of the front
garden there are two pointed arch doorways. On the north side of the front
garden there is a mounting block by the house and the wall here ramps up to
the front of the house.
