House. Circa late C17 or early C18. Plastered stone rubble and probably
cob. Asbestos tile roof with gabled ends. Gable end stacks, the right
hand with short later brick shaft, left hand stack truncated.
Plan: Situated at angle to road. 2-room plan with entrance to right of
centre probably to a cross or through passsage with porch at front. The
large left hand room at the lower end was probably the kitchen. Adjoining
at the back to left, a C20 bungalow in separate ownership.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 2-window range. First floor 2 small
circa early C19 2-light casements with glazing bars. Ground floor 2 large
late C19 or C20 3-light casements with glazing bars; all with wooden
lintels. To right of centre a large rendered (cob?) porch with scantle
slate roof, the gable weatherboarded and with C20 plank door; the inner door
was not inspected. C19 2-light first floor casement on right hand gable
end.
Adjoining at back to right a C20 bungalow.
Interior not accessible at time of survey 1988.
