Sober Hall Farmhouse

GV
II

Early C18 farmhouse possibly including hind's cottage. Narrow red brick, part
rendered, and pantiled roof with stone gable copings and kneelers. Two storeys,
four windows, slightly irregular. Yorkshire sashes on first floor. Victorian
sash windows in wood architraves below, and one canted bay. Sober Hall, together
with its mill and granary, and the other outbuildings is of unusual interest as a
rare example of a farm complex with its own corn mill. Now derelict (roof tiles
missing, cracked brickwork, decaying woodwork etc).
