Farmhouse. 2 late medieval builds (perhaps late-C15 and early-C16) with later alterations and extensions. Cob, stone plinth, plastered, under a wood shingle roof that is hipped to the left and gabled to the right end. Formerly a 3-room, cross-passage plan, with rear higher-end wing (i.e. extending to the rear of both hall and parlour, c.f. Pale Farmhouse, Upexe, Rewe), and extended to the left-hand side in C20. 2 end stacks, and axial stack backing onto site of former passage; brick shafts. 2 storeys.
Front: 7-window range, all 3 light casement windows to lst floor, 3 of them mid-C19; 4 ground-floor windows, all 3-light, 2 with 3 panes per light plus margin panes; present main front entrance between hall and parlour under timber and brick, slate- roofed porch; French windows to left-hand side. Rear lean-to, and rear wing with C20 2- and 3-light casement windows.
Interior: right-hand room (parlour) with chamfered end fireplace and chamfered, step- stopped cross beam; 2 chamfered cross beams to hall with hollow step stops; fireplace with unchamfered jambs, and stopped lintel.
Roof: 2 late-medieval smoke-blackened roofs; (1) 3 higher-end trusses, probably upper crucks, morticed and side pegged, diagonal ridge piece, trenched purlins; (2) 2 later crossed and pegged lower-end trusses, collars halved and pegged, altogether rougher workmanship.
