House, formerly rectory. Circa early C19 extended later in C19. Rendered stone
rubble walls. Slate roof, gabled at left end, hipped at rear of rear wing. 2
rendered brick stacks to front block, one at left end, one axial. Similar axial
stack to rear block. Brick stack at gable end of single store addition.
Orginally L-shaped plan with single depth front range consisting of one room either
side of a stairhall slightly to left of centre, at the right-hand side a double
depth wing with a large room facing onto the ground and service rooms to the rear.
Later in the C19 an outshut was added behind the left-hand side of the front range
and it was further extended at this end with more service rooms.
2 storeys. Almost symmetrical 3 window front of early C19 hornless sashes, 16 panes
on the lst floor - except left-hand window which has 9 panes - and 12 panes on
ground floor slightly to left of centre is pair of c-early C19 doors with marginal
glazing. The right-hand front to the wing is similar with 12 pane hornless sashes
and a blind window at centre on the 1st floor. Later addition at left-hand end and
outshut at rear.
Interior has very simple staircase at rear of hall which has closed string, stick
balusters and column newels. There is a simple arch in the hall to the staircase
and to the 2 right-hand rooms. Some original panelled shutters to principal rooms.
