Small house. Circa mid-later C17 with C19 and C20 additions. Rendered cob walls.
Gable ended thatched roof. Gable end brick stacks.
Plan: 2-room plan, each heated by gable end fireplaces. Larger room to the left
with newel stairs at rear of fireplace. In C19 outshut was added behind left-hand
room and an adjoining addition to the right was built in the C20.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4-window front, 2 windows to ground floor. C20
2 and 3-light casements, in larger openings on ground floor. Leanto thatched porch
to left of centre with C20 stable type door. C19 and C20 additions along rear wall.
Interior: left-hand room has chamfered cross beams, traces of hollow step stops on
one. Roughly chamfered wooden lintel to fireplace. Stone newel stairs beside
fireplace which have been slightly altered to open out of the room to the rear.
Roof trusses are very rough with collars pegged across their face - probably C18 or
early C19.
