Villa, now flats. c1820-50 with later additions and
alterations, including C20 range to rear. Ashlar over brick
with hipped slate roof and rear ashlar stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with basement and attic, 5 first-floor
windows of which the central window is recessed. Mainly blind
openings, to ground floor, left of centre, a 1/1 sash;
first-floor sillband, to first floor, centre a 2/2 sash;
basement has 6/6 sashes. Central entrance has 2 Ionic columns
in antis, frieze and dentil cornice; 2-panel double doors with
side-lights and overlight. Round-arched attic dormers with
casements. Wide eaves on brackets. Right return has 6-window
range with full-height canted bay. 6/6, 1/1 and 2/2 sashes to
basement, ground and first floors respectively.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Occupies an important site at the junction with Lansdown Road.
