Farmhouse. c1830. Grey brick front in Flemish bond, sides and rear in red
brick. Welsh slate roof. L-shaped on plan: double depth main section has
2-room central entrance hall front with secondary entrance and stairhall to
rear, and 2-room service wing set back to right. 2 storeys, 3 bays;
symmetrical, with 2 low storey 3-bay wing to right. Plinth. Central
pedimented bay breaks forward. flight of 3 stone steps to half-glazed
panelled door with sidelights and overlights under cambered wedge lintel.
12-pane sashes in flush wood architraves with cambered wedge lintels and
stone cills. Ashlar coping to pediment with blind oculus in tympanum.
Plain wooden eaves board. Hipped roof. Pair of axial stacks. Wing has 2
board doors under segmental brick arches, 12-pane sliding sashes and axial
stack. Rear entrance has doorcase with ribbed surround, moulded conice and
shallow hood; part-glazed panelled door beneath moulded conice and blind
overlight with decorative glazing bars in panelled reveal.
